The Young Chelsea has three card rooms, each of which is available for
hire when not being used by the club. They are suitable for meetings, seminars,
auditions, interviews and receptions, providing a West London alternative
to the impersonality of hotel meeting rooms.
Rates vary depending on the time, day and room required, but as a rough guide are about £100 + VAT per room per half-day.
We can arrange for our bar to be open during the day, providing inexpensive bar snacks, or we can serve you sandwiches, coffee etc in your meeting room.
We have wireless internet access and can provide word-processing, photocopying and email facilities.
The first floor room is pleasant and airy with a high ceiling and a small balcony overlooking Barkston Gardens. It comfortably holds 20 people grouped informally around tables, and is ideal for small meetings or seminars. It is currently undergoing refurbishment.
The ground floor room has a high ceiling with a skylight, with space for thirty people grouped informally around tables, or forty arranged for a more formal meeting or lecture. It is a flexible space that could be used for most purposes.
The lower ground floor is the largest room in the club, and with the cozy atmosphere its lower ceiling provides, is particularly suitable for receptions and informal gatherings, for which it could hold 60 people.
The club has a well-appointed bar on the ground floor, which can provide
a waiting area or informal relaxation space away from the main meeting room.
The club is two minutes from Earl's Court tube station (Earl's Court Rd
exit), which is on the Piccadilly & District Lines. The address is 32
Barkston Gardens, Earl's Court, London, SW5 0EN. Click
here for a map showing exactly where the club can be found. The circle
on Barkston Gardens shows the exact location of the club.
Access to the club (and the bar) is by 3 steps, with a further 1 step
down to the ground floor room. There is no lift to the first floor or lower
ground floor.
