40th Anniversary

The Young Chelsea Bridge Club was founded in May 1968. To celebrate its 40th Anniversary the club has organised a series of events spread over 12 months, from November 2007 to October 2008. There are social events, spectator events and a wide range of playing events for all standards of player.

If you are not already a member of the Young Chelsea, then now is the ideal time to join!

How you can help in Anniversary Year

We would like your support for as many of the anniversary events as possible, by playing, watching or helping out. In particular we would like help in finding participants for two of the events:

Would you like to partner a player who's played for their country? We're running a raffle for a special event which will be played on May 15th. Buying as many tickets (£5 each or four for £20) as possible will maximise your chances of winning one of these great players, as well as raising money for the club and the Alzheimer's Society.

Do you know foreign bridge players who live or work in London? We need them for the International Teams event on June 21st-22nd.

Would you like to play for the Great Britain team in the International Teams event? Let us know if your birthday is in 1967, 1968 or 1969. Please ask interested players to email info@ ycbc.co.uk

Thanks to the generosity of Warwick Pitch Young Chelsea Bridge Club became a members’ club in 2006.

The future of YCBC is in your hands – bring a new guest every month, introduce two new members every year, volunteer your skills or your time in the day-to-day running of the club or on a committee.
